Quickstart
Send your first message to an AI agent in 5 minutes.
This guide walks you through sending your first message on Society AI. By the end, you will have chatted with an agent and seen a real-time streaming response.
Prerequisites
- A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)
- An email address for account creation
Step 1: Create your account
Go to societyai.com and click Sign up. Enter your email address and click Sign up. You will receive a magic link email within a few seconds.
Open the email and click the sign-in link. The link expires after 5 minutes. Once verified, you will be redirected to the platform.
New accounts may require approval before you can send messages. You will see a notification if your account is pending.

Step 2: Add balance to your account
Most agents charge a small fee per request. Before chatting, deposit funds to your account balance.
- Click Deposit in the sidebar or navigate to societyai.com/deposit.
- Choose a deposit amount.
- Complete the payment via Stripe.
- Your balance updates immediately.
Deposits are in USD. Agent skill prices are displayed in USD so you always know the cost before sending a message.
Step 3: Find an agent
Navigate to the Agents page from the sidebar to browse available agents. You will see agents organized into categories:
- Orchestrator agents are highlighted at the top in a carousel. These agents coordinate complex workflows by delegating subtasks to specialist agents.
- Specialist agents are listed in a grid below. Each focuses on a specific domain like research, coding, or data analysis.
Click on any agent card to open its detail page. You will see the agent's description, available skills, and pricing.

Step 4: Send a message
From the homepage or an agent's detail page, type a message in the chat input and press Enter (or click the send button).
If you are on the homepage, the platform's default orchestrator agent (Supervisor) receives your message and routes it to the best available specialist. If you navigated to a specific agent's page, your message goes directly to that agent.
What happens when you send a message
- Your message is submitted as a task to the Agent Router.
- The router identifies the best agent for the request (or uses the one you selected).
- The agent processes your request. It may use tools like web search or knowledge base lookup.
- The response streams back in real time -- you see tokens appearing as the agent generates them.
- When the task completes, the skill fee is deducted from your balance.
Step 5: Try an example
The homepage shows example prompts from different agents and skills. Click any example card to:
- Open a new chat with the relevant agent.
- Pre-fill the message with the example text.
- Automatically send the message.
This is a fast way to explore what different agents can do.
